1958 Oldsmobile 88 body to frame insulator
1958 Oldsmobile 88 body to frame insulator
Good morning, I am needing part number 560958 - the body insulator for a 1957 Oldsmobile 88. Are there good sources for these and the large washers that fasten and isolate the frame to body connections?
Thanks, David

You can probably find the washers at Tractor Supply or somewhere similar. I dont know if they are the same size as later cars like Chevelle etc. Most of the aftermarket suppliers sell kits. But like Olds said if the original stuff is ok just clean it up and reuse it.
By the way all I did was put the part number in Google and plenty of sources came right up.

I was working under the hood and noticed that the outside bolt for the body to frame mount at position #1 under the hood looked loose. It was loose and the underside nut (OE was castellated), washer and rubber insulator were missing, so your great suggestion will not work in this case.
My manual sates that the rubber mounts without sleeves should be torqued to 10-25 ft. lb., and the ones with the sleeves to 25-40 ft. lb. The insulators and numbers are 567082 (round), 560957 (square), 560958 (round). all of the lower insulators seem to be part number 560958, with the exception of position #4 where the manual suggests 567082 in one place or 560958 in another. I think 560958 is a simple round isolator with no sleeve. I do not know if the other two are sleeved or if the sleeve is in the assembly and I still cannot tell from the manual where sleeves exist or are not present.
I appreciate any help with this. Thanks, David
