Rebuilding Olds Turbo 350

Can anyone suggest good racing rebuild kits for olds turbo 350? My tranny is shot, hit the wall and it won’t go into any forward gear, only reverse, it is an inside problem, the shifter cable is fine. I race a 74 cutlass supreme at a 1/4 asphalt oval, top speed 55mph, run in low gear the whole time. Looking to rebuild the tranny to compete at this track, thanks!

If this is a low gear application only, any overhaul kit would work. Just make sure the forward and low/reverse clutch count is 5 clutches, 5 steel plates. You may need to machine the pistons to fit that many plates, especially if your trans came from a 6 cylinder car. Add extra bushings to the drive shell, make sure to drill and deburr the oil lube holes. Install the wide bushing in the direct clutch drum. And to ensure the trans stays in low gear, you will need to remove the sping in the low gear valvetrain, and replace the spring with a solid sleeve. The TransGo shift kit has that sleeve, and the needed parts to convert the trans to full manual. But there are cheaper/easier ways to accomplish the same thing

Most likely smoked forward clutches. Another thing to consider adding is a low/roller (some people call it a center support) from a 700r4 trans. The rollers are a little bigger, and stronger
