This is kind of a follow up to a thread I posted in Small Block Engines... Has anyone ever had an old slant pan Hydramatic that developed a ticking noise that changes with engine speed? We have a tick that sounds like a sticky lifter, but further examination suggests it's coming from under the car; maybe the transmission? Any experience with such a thing?

Has anyone ever had a torus cover bolt come loose? What sound would that make?

Looking for ideas...

Figured it out! It was actually the wiper motor making noise. Wierd.
