Can I use a Dual Gate form a '69 GTO in my '71 Cutlass ?

Except for a mounting bracket, looks the same.

I have a factory Olds Dual Gate cable.

 

I'm pretty sure you can but I'd wait until someone who has done it responds. For what it is worth I have one car with a dualgate, in 25 years I think I have used it maybe 5 times. Those who see it love it but I like the pull-up action of the standard console shifter better than the dual gate.

 

I thought I have read over the years the Pontiac Dual Gates had a straight handle and the Olds version was curved. It probably would fit, though.
