Center console, complete with wiring harness and light sockets. Restored condition...it is in very nice shape! You may want to repaint it with SEM interior paint prior to install to give it a new shine...it's been sitting in my office for 2 years. - $450 obo

Hurst Dual gate shifter very nice, and top plate new (NOS) - Sold

I also have a center console speedometer that does not have the PRND21 indicator in it. If you need the whole package to convert to a center console I have everything you need.

I can't believe you've not sold this yet. You may have to help people out by posting a price or even selling the console and shifter separately

I can't either...but what I really can't understand is why someone rated it a "1 Star" thread. I have it on ebay for $1150 WITHOUT the speedometer. For CO I could sell all of it for $1000 WITH the speedometer.

I will sell it separately, but I won't sell the shifter until I sell the console because if it doesn't sell, I can still use it all in my car.

considering that is not a dual gate console and the shifter wont work with it unless you cut it to make it fit, thats probally why no one is wanting it as a package. just throwing that out there.

Considering that NO console was truly a dual gate console and they all had to be cut for a dual gate...that's probably why this one is a great buy, you still have the option of using it either way. Just throwing that back

I'll sell it separately...make an offer

I think it's better that the console isn't cut.You can still use it for whatever you want. They used the same console shell for all three styles - automatic,4-spd,and dual-gate.Nothing got cut for the regular automatic. Most of the time, the factory dual-gate consoles were cut crudely,as it was an assembly time issue. They weren't building showcars back then,so they weren't always real careful when they did it.This way,you can take your time & make it nice.

If I am not mistaken that console has already been been cut for DG.

I doesn't appear to have been cut for a dual gate but it does look like it has a portion missing where the upper half of the console mounts to the top of the regular (ie non-dual gate) shifter body via a screw/bolt. It's evident in PIC #4 that the plastic area I mention is missing if you know what to look for and/or have a console handy to compare to that pic. It also looks like a related piece of plastic is missing....a piece that runs from the area I first mention forward to the other top-of-the-shifter-body mounting point.

If you "convert" this console to the dual gate setup the areas I mention as missing are removed in the process.

So you're the guy! Wow! We've come full circle...he told me he had a guy in SA build it for him but I guess I never bothered to get a name. That's awesome! I'll have to tell him. Yeah, that's a great engine, but it needs more cam lol! Its a bit of a turd w/ the cam & rear-end he's got...

Anyway, he's my dad. He is also the owner of the console I am selling. It really is a nice piece, and if you know my dad then you know he's not going to screw anyone.

Steve

Your father, correct?? Yes, I've spent a decent amount of time getting to visit with him at a car show we put on here as well as occasionally getting to see whatever cool projects you guys had brewing. The first time I met him (10+ years ago) he drove up to a buddy's house in the wagon with the 455(same motor/car, I believe, that Dan rebuilt years later). Thought to myself...."this guy really has the right idea!". Tell him I still have a pair of '72 TX plates here that are his.

Met Joe and several other local Olds owners at a show in Elgin last year. Good guy and very cool Vista. I'm still fairly new to Olds and he gave me some helpful pointers.
