tranny cooling line problems?

tranny cooling line problems?
one of my coolant lines have been leaking and i just cant fix the problem. it seems to just keep getting worse and worse. but then some guy told me there is a nipple or something were the flare presses against and he said it could be broken. could this be a possibility?

Leaking where? At a fitting or in the middle? Also, year, model, and trans type would help.

Undo the fitting and have a look. Use a flare nut wrench if you can, if it's tight to undo you can easily damage the nut with an open ended wrench.
Could be the pipe has a split or crack in it, look closely, it isn't necessarily easy to spot.
You might find the fitting has simply got a little slack.
