TH350 Questions

I'm having an issue with my transmission not engaging once put into any gear. I've just installed a new shifter cable, for my dual gate shifter. Kick-down cable is in place properly, and the I put the car on jack stands and put it in gear to see if the wheels would move when put in reverse and drive. When in reverse, the wheels seemed to have spun forward a little but it wasn't a result of stepping on the accelerator. Its also got tranny fluid and the coolant lines are connected properly. If the ATM is not connected properly or at all, will it cause this type of issue? Or does that only affect shifting while driving?

Are you sure you have enough fluid in the transmission? Low fluid level would present as not engaging.

I will definitely double check. But I'm pretty sure there is plenty.

Another thing to check...when selecting a gear at the shifter, have you confirmed the selecter shaft at the transmission is actually in the proper spot and not between. This might indicate a cable adjustment.
