SHift kit install time

Basic rv b&m kit. How long does it take with the tranny out?

Also if the front seal behind the torque converter isn't leaking, I've heard I should still replace it as preventative maintenance?

If you have never done a shift kit, figure a few hours to install. Before you start, make sure you have lots of trans fluid on hand, a new filter, and a small jar of Vaseline to hold the gaskets and check ***** in place. Raise the car as high as possible, and if your trans pan doesn't have a drain plug now would be the time to add one. If you decide to add a drain plug, place a drain pan under the trans and drill the drain plug hole in the pan. No mess that way.
