Olds 98 1971 - transmission

Hello
I have a problem with the automatic transmission.
After a four-month winter stop, long stretches 1-2 2-3.
It does not change gears smoothly.
Oil and filter set today. Unfortunately, it did not help.
What else could go wrong at standstill? In the autumn the car drove perfectly.
Please help me. My mechanic says something about the pressure regulator. Is this true?

You can double check the vacuum line to your modulator. It should go to manifold vacuum.

That was my first thought as well. Check that your vacuum line is connected and the hose is in good condition. You may also want to check that all of the vacuum lines are connected properly and in good order. If all check out, you can also easily change the vacuum module on the transmission. They are readily available online.

Nice car!

Thank you for the quick response.
On Monday I go back to the mechanic.
Now I know what to talk to him.

Yesterday finally stopped raining and I went to the garage.
The problem was very simple. Rubber hose burst at the modulator.
Thank you again.
