M20 drain and fill

Does anyone have a good fluid extractor that they can recommend?
Also is it a good idea to go ahead and drill and tap the missing drain hole with my transmission in the car, or should I wait until I eventually have to remove it for some other reason, or should you not drill and tap the hole, after all it has made it 60 years why mess with the way GM designed it?

Most guys that I know go ahead and drill and tap it for the plug. I did the one in my Chevelle. GM designed it that way for only one reason ..... it was cheaper than drilling the hole and putting a plug in

I dont think the fluid extractors can get all of the crap out of the bottom of the case. I have not done one in a while but I always used to pour some diesel fuel or Kerosene in the fill hole to flush out the junk in the bottom.

Thanks,

I would like to get as much of the oil fluid out as possible. So I'll give it a shot. I need to make sure I have room to get to everything first

X2 on a fluid evacuator not getting everything off the bottom.

I wouldn't drill it if it is a concours level car though.

Consider a magnetic drain plug.
