how to remove the trans pump

I noticed the bushing needed replaced,,How do i remove the trans pump,,,

I got it,,,Rented a slide hammer from autozone...
What is the retaining pin for ,,It came out when i pulled the pump off..I see where it goes,,,Do i just push it back in or does something need to be lined up?. i can slide it right back in..If it goes right back in is it in there right...I mean can it go in wrong...

The only retaining pin I can recall in a 400 pump is for the pressure regulator. Get a manual and study it.

Be cautious when you service an automatic transmission. They have ZERO tolerance to dirt. Your workspace has to be very clean.

I figured it out in the manual...thanks every one,,,I have the pump seal,,,rear seal replaced..My work are was pretty clean i think,,,i was cautious not to let any dirt in...After i got each seal pulled and replaced I wrapped plastic around them so no dirt gets inside..I also relaced the filter and pan gasket,,
