Picture of '50 88 trans linkage?
Hi Guys!
Would anybody be able to send me a picture of where the bracket for the trans. linkage mounts for a '50 Olds 88?
I just installed mine yesterday that I had sent from a junkyard; I have both rods attached, but cannot seem to figure how the bracket itself mounts.
I really would appreciate any help you could give me.
My e-mail is panamracer@hotmail.com
Thanks Much!

You will need a service manual to set the throttle valve for your car. A picture is nice but this setting is CRITICAL. If it is a little bit off then you can fry your transmission. Maybe someone has some scanned directions for you. If not I suggest buying a Factory Service Manual and Chassis Manual. You can find them on Evil-bay from time to time or at suppliers like Fusicks.

From the '49 (Same as '50) manual: http://edge-op.org/1949_Oldsmobile/index.php#contents
It's not.
Back in the day, manual throttle control cables (lower pressures for street (or pits/return road) and higher pressures for competition were not uncommon. After some myths have been around for a couple of generations, they get accepted as fact.
Use the manual to get it in the ball park, then fine tune it to fit your own taste.
