Need picture of throttle linkage
Need picture of throttle linkage
Does anyone have some good pictures of the original throttle linkage for a 330? When I bought the car, it was disconnected and missing. I was also wondering how the throttle linkage interacts with the transmission. I see the electrical plugs on the part that rotates when you push down the accelerator.
Here is a link with pictures. The 67 used an ST300 (Jetaway) transmission with a variable vane torque converter. There is a switch on the firewall and operates a bell crank assy for the carb linkage. It serves 2 purposes, 1, changes the stall in the torque convertor and 2, operates the electric passing gear function of the trans.

Any older car should have a throttle rod similar to that. cut, weld, and bend to suit?
Or buy one from a collector. didn't lemoldsnut just get like 3 such parts cars? I have a pile of rods like that but no way to tell if length is right for your application. I was using them to make L69 throttle rods as needed.

I guess I'm jumping the gun a little here. I am putting in a running 307 until I get the 330 or a 455 that I have rebuilt. The carb for the 307 is different anyway. I probably won't ever use the original carb off the 330 so in the meantime I will just rig up a rod from hardware store parts. Thanks for the reply.
