Gap between engine and bell housing???
I’m not sure if this is correct for a 67 442 or if maybe someone didn’t have a 4 speed crank and this was their idea of spacing it out 🤷🏻*♂️

Look again. That's the way the bellhousing is made. There is a raised portion with the bosses around each bolt hole.
