Column shift linkage to cable?

I have modified my original -69 Cutlass TH350 column shift linkage from original to Lokar one.

Made this to make room for long tube headers. Lokar parts are ok, but now I know why the original linkage is made like it is. Lokar one transmits all the vibration from trans to the column shifter and that's kind of annoying.

Does anybody happen to know is there a cable conversion kit for column shifter? Or has anybody created one from scratch?

Several of the aftermarket shifter vendors sell them. There are also a lot of factory cable column shifters in wrecking yards. My 1999 Chevy pickup has one, for example.
