automatic shifter brought from e bay

Need some guidence. I have a 1966 442 .It has a jet away automatic transmission with the shifter in the console the shifter broke at the top of the shaft at the T-Handle, which is a common problem. These shifters are one of the hardest parts to find no one makes an after market replacement. I found one on e bay the description stated that it would fit a 66 442, This one is a little diiferent not much,This one has a solid pastic plunger on top theres no place to install the little roller you still depress the plunger to shift. My olds is and early production Feb 66. Did they make improvements?,will this one work. Any help willbe appreciated. Thanks TOM

Shift Works Cure for Jetaway T Handle

Tom,
Shift Works has just developed a solution for the Jetaway T handle that I have successfully installed on mine. The T handle is replaced with a **** that is threaded on an adaptor. The adaptor extends the internal shaft and is fastened with a roll pin that is pressed in place. The **** pushes down and slides over the outer shaft. It works perfectly. $60 with a black or white ****. Contact Herb: herb@shiftworks.com and he will take care of you. I will post pictures later.

Shift Works Pictures

Pictures attached - Installation is simple after the rivet is drilled out of the internal shaft tip.
