1972 Cutlass 455 with Tremec t 56 Magnum
Hello,
my name is Joerg from Germany and I need some help.
I plan to install a Tremec T 56 Magnum in my 1972 Cutlass convertible 455.
Ok so far i let the crank prepared to take the pilot bearing.
Does anybody installed already the T 56 behind the 455, around 550 HP
I got some questions, hope someone can give me an advice.
I know I need a special flywheel housing, which is a good and affordable one.
Because my engine is an automatic i need a flywheel, which will fit.
Which clutch I should use, 26 Spline input shaft and is good fore my powerlevel?
Which yoke must be used 31 Spline output shaft.
And also very important which gears i should use in the rear axle 3.71 or 4.11
Regards Joerg

The search function sucks here but I found this thread in a Google search:

I'm pretty sure Aceshigh ended up changing to an LS1 so I doubt he carried this idea through. You may have more luck on the Pontiac forums (http://forums.performanceyears.com/forums/) because those guys tend to spend a lot more money than us cheap Olds guys.

Contact these guys. They can set you up with the whole deal, for connecting to to your 455. I used them on MY TKO 600 behind my 455 in my 48 Olds
