How do I know were to mount shifter on tunnel apparently one screw lines up with stock which one ?
How do I route cable to trans ?
Do I need a special bracket to hook to trans some say yes some say no

The one hole that he has on his is not on mine if I REALLY knew which bolt it is that is in the stock hole it would really help me do you know ??

If your converting from a column shift to floor shift you will need to drill a hole and enlarge it to about 1" for the cable to go through. Its in that link 2blue442 posted.

I'm almost positive you will need a different bracket on the selector shaft of the trans. It is not in that kit. It needs to have rectangle slot for the tip of the cable to be retained. That slot is where you adjust the cable.

When I installed mine, I don't remember using in stock holes. Figure out where is sits best. Since this is cable operated, you can fudge it back and forth left or right, it don't matter.

 

no its a factory floor shifter I am told there is a hole on the Hurst that is common with the factory holes my concern if I blow it the factory console wont line up right

 

I would mock it up, pick a spot on the floor temp mount the shifter and set the console on the brackets...Iirc the console mounting had some fore aft leeway like an 1/8th inch either way. The shifter needs to fit within a specific Area of the console

 

ya I can do that I was just hoping to find that one elusive hole that lines up to be sure.
