Looks like I found a very clean 85 Toronado. 307 Olds. He is sending engine bay picture tomorrow. He is asking $7,400. Not looking to pay that much. But after looking for some time. At E-body GM. Seville's, Eldorado's, Riviera's and Toronado. This one is the best so far, under $10,000. I have all kinds of Old's engine parts and E body, part from my Seville's. Many will fit. Hope she rides as good as the Seville's.
Super clean! But the deal is not done yet. And need to ship to me.
Owned Five 1985 Seville's with digital dash. Nothing to be afraid of. The 4.1 v8 is another story. Runner up but $11,900 72,000 miles 1985 Biarritz Cadillac Convertible. I have HighwayStar 442 already. Another red car and a pimp looking one. Easy to cut the top and steal. Also super clean.
Coolio. Looks like a very nice well taken care of car. Good for you.
I worked on so many of those cars.
Highwaystar did I read somewhere that you are building an electric car?
Not building a elect car. looking to buy a Cybertruck when they come out. Do you remember, if the 85Toronado rides like the 85 Seville??
And strange of twist of fate. I received this from Tesla last week,
Hi John! How are you?
I’m reaching out to you from Tesla’s Factory Engineering team- we're looking to hire a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to play an integral role in helping build our Gigafactory in Austin, TX. I found your extensive experience compelling, John. I would appreciate the chance to learn more about you and also to tell you about what we’ve been building here at Tesla. Perhaps we can set up an introductory call and get connected? No pressure, of course. Have a great weekend!
Kindly,
Steve

Beautiful cars! Of course I prefer the Olds over the Cadillac.
I wouldn't be hesitant to buy one of these cars with the digital dash. My 96 98 has a digital dash (of course it's later generation). It works great other than the software in the trip computer and fuel gauge that gives erroneous readings (a known TSB GM released years ago).
Just waiting for the engine bay pictures. Talk him down on price a little more. To help cover auto transport.
My girl doesn't want to go on long trip in HighwayStar. Too loud, I don't mind, I wear eye plugs anytime I drive her. Great ride on highway, Not too good on ruff road.
The Toro should ride like the 85 Seville- A couch on a boat, floating in the water. Just look at the double seat padding!

Well, the Toronado guy, kept playing games. But it turned out for the best. Red 1985 Eldorado Biarritz convertible was just too pimp looking. This 1985 Eldorado Biarritz with only 38,000+ mile. Will be shipped here later this week or next.
Really wanted a Old's engine. But with low mileage, the 1985 4100 V8 will last a long time. They fixed all the problems with the 4100 V8 in late1984. Not much more than money then the Toronado. I love when things work out!
Custom made floor mats of a different color, but I like it! Its been passing collectors hands for years. It's been ceramic coated. Tufted seats are the best, always getting air circulation. My first Eldorado, normally I go for 85 Seville's.
Sold my leased 2019 Avalon Limited under 10,000 miles, back to Toyota for 9,750. I would of sold her myself and made more. I am a bad used car salesman.
Nothing wrong with a Biarritz!. Love the slant back 85 Seville's. My older brother had a new 84 Seville's. My oldest brother had a 84 black Biarritz. The most expensive domestics cars sold in 1984. You had to make sure the door were locked. Going through certain areas of Manhattan. Or the hookers would jump into the Seville. Me being the youngest, I bought something sportier, 84 Hurst/Olds.
Like I said, a Bizarritz. 🙂 That's what we always called them.
I like those floor mats. From around 1977 on, when I got a car I'd make a paper pattern and cut custom fitted mats for it using commercial carpet scraps. Then I'd have a local carpet dealer put a color matched binding on them. Got a lot of compliments and "where'd you find those?".
