68 Toronado turn signal switch needed

I have looked all over, one place wants $255.00 and another place wants $395.00. Don't really want to pay that much, anyone have any ideas?

Turn signal

Dan, are you looking for the switch inside the column? Is this the plastic piece that clicks when you move the arm or did they use something else in the Toro? John

Did you already check Fusicks? Every catalog they put out has an insert with hard to find items and unique items (ie. electrical parts, turn signal lenses, vacuum resivoirs, etc.).

hey guys, called all around today (usa auto parts, yesteryear, chicago auto parts, collectors auto supply and a few others) nobody has a switch. Guess I'm going to have to leave her in the garage until I find one. Checking salvage yards now for a used one. Mine is in rough shape, a kit did'nt help it. Keep your eyes peeled.

thanks

Couple of different switches for different applications. Red ones are the hardest to find. Also need to know if tilt travel wheel and front cornering lights. May be able to help you with used depending on what one you need. The red ones I know are the same ones used in the Caddies for 68 too so you might try that way. I paid big bucks for a red one myself but wanted to do the job once and forget about it.

Well, in my first post I listed that I found a few switches anywhere from $299.00 to $395.00.......That was from looking at part sites...and when I finally called on them they were long gone...years gone. I found out quickly after calling a dozen or so place that these things are obsolete. After about 100 calls I finally found a red switch out of a 68 Caddy. I paid $500.00 and didnt even blink an eye. I feel so lucky that I finally found one. If I didn't have tilt/teles w/cornering lights it would have been much easier, and less expensive. Thanks to everyone for their input

Headlight switch

Paul, would you please tell me where this switch is located? I dismantled a 1967 with Tilt/tele and cornering lights last spring. I know the 1966 switch is attached to the column, but don't know about the 1967. Do you know if these were different every year? John

Thank you for the information Paul, so I guess when I sold the 1967 Tilt/Tele column the buyer may have got a good deal considering the value of the switch! I have seen several 66-69 Toro's for sale as parts or project cars in the last year or so, I'll start looking for ones that may have this item. John

Can someone be more specific about this part? Location? Are you talking about the mechanism in the column?

More info please on color, year interchanges, etc.

thanks
