Tire Manufacture Date Help


Can anyone decode the manufacture date of this Firestone Wide Oval F70-14? Thanks in advance!

From: Poteau, Ok
Its the 26 week of a year ending in 4. Most likely 74, but can also be 84.

No they changed the DOT date code requirements before then. It went to a 4 digit code of 2 digit for weeks and 2 digits for year.

CY = manufacturer - McCreary Tire plant in Indiana, PA
LD = size - F70x14
F2K5 = type -
264 = date - 26th week of 1994

the DOT changed to the 4-digit date code starting in 2000, the 3-digit code was in use from 1971 - 1999

McCreary did not make reproduction Firestones in 1974 or 1984
