Conversion to HEI
Joe,
Have put on new HEI dist and appropriate plugs/gapped, wires: set static timing to 8 deg. and have adj vacuum advance.
Can't seem to get enough adv. (around 22 deg.) Knocks under acceleration when it looses vacuum.
What are correct settings for a '65 425 10:1 comp eng. switching to HEI?
Static, centrifugal, and vacuum, etc?
With the old style dist I was at 8 deg w 34 total degrees with no adj. adv. and pertronics setup.
Thanks , Bud
Have read threads associated w/HEI and there is conflicting info.
