Tire size - 70 Toronado

My car has 215/70 R15 on the front and 215/75 R15 on the back, can anyone tell me which one is the correct tire size?

Neither, your car originally came with J78-15 tires! So a P235-70-15 would be the closest.

p235/75 (or 70)/15 is correct.

There's nearly an inch difference in diameter between a 235/75-15 and a 235/70-15.

If he is going to use a 75 series tire, then he needs a smaller diameter, size would be P225-75-15, this tire would be narrower but aproximately the same height.

Actually, I have 2 nearly new 235/70 R15 tires in my garage which I could use, except the only problem is that they don't seem to sell any whitewall tires in that size anymore

Seeing how nobody sells the 235/70 anymore except truck tires, would 235/70 R15 in back and 225/75 R15 in front (or vice versa) work OK/look similar?

I believe some of the vintage tire shops like Coker or Universal have what your looking for! Not cheap, but they are available.

Would the 235/70 tires work on this car, or would they have any issues?

The 235/70 should be really close to the J78's that came on it!!
