New larger coil springs in rear of 72 98
Id like to put new coil springs in the rear of my 98. Im a muscle car guy and love the look of cars with a little rake or rear end higher in the air. Only talking 2 or 3. Also planning to put larger BF GOODRICH COMP TAs all around.
Anyhow, wondering how to find springs that will do the job. I can certainly just buy springs that are literally taller/longer, but theres also the strength factor. Not sure how to go about this and hoping someone can help. Thank you.

My 71 98 took J78 tires from the factory. That's a 235/75 R15. When I was looking for tires for my 71 98 practically all of the ones I found were knobby SUV or Crossover tires. Don't forget that you have to clear the rear fender skirt on your 72 98.
If your heart is set on going for the raked look I'd suggest air suspension all around. I hope you're a good fabricator. I also hope your tire shop knows how to measure for oversized wheels/tires.

I use this site to compare coil springs by size. it shows size, loaded and unloaded length capacity and a bunch of other attributes. Once I found something I liked I then searched it on rock auto to figure out the OEM application. For example I'm using a 94 caprice chassis under my 55 truck and the stock springs were barely too tall and way way too stiff. I think i went with 84-85 camaro springs that I found on Moog's website below.
