Does this look right? (steering box)

Does this look right? (steering box)

This is a Redhead Steering Gears rebuilt fast ratio box. Everything bolted up just fine, but after I torqued the nut down to the prescribed 210 ft/lb, this is what it looks like:





I am by no means an expert, but it doesn't look like it is "on far enough" to me. Thoughts? Pull the pitman arm off and reinstall? It's good enough and leave it alone?

That's right. The shaft has a slight taper.

Cool, thanks. I knew it was tapered, but I just expected it to go on a bit further. Good to know I'm just being paranoid :-)
