Valve Stem Lengths?

Valve Stem Lengths?
I went to buy intake and exhaust valves. I notice the 2.00 intake valves were listed at 4.695" and the 1.564 exhaust valves were listed at 4.740".
Does the machinist take this into account? Or do I need to find a new vendor that offers the valve head size I want with equal stem lengths on both the intake and exhaust valves?

What is more important, is that when you get the heads back from the machine shop, they need to set within a correct range, for proper operation. Put a straight edge across the stem tips, when you pick them up. If they are more than .050" out (total, all valves) from one another at this point, then they won't run right.
Have the shop reset the stem heights, if this happens to you.
Good luck,
Jim
