350 misfire
350 misfire
So the 350 in my 81 cutlass is misfiring and it’s not very distinct like you really gotta listen to hear it but it’s there what could be the issue I’ve already done plugs plug wires distributor cap and rotor and an oil change I did put some oil stabilizer in it and it seemed to help some but anyone have any ideas on what the issue is

Rather than guessing, get the number off the side of the carb, which will tell you the exact year and application. The VIN derivative off the block will tell you the exact year of the block, also.
Yes the carb could be junk or the carb needs to be rebuilt. What is the model number of the carburetor (as Joe asked). I'm not certain why you have two threads for the same issue. Your issue may not be electrical (other thread's direction), your issue may be fuel (and/or mixture). What is the vacuum you're pulling when you set your A/F mixture?
What is your spark plug gap set at? More than .060 will tax an HEI module esp at higher speeds. Set it .045 or .050 and see what it does.
Also check function of the EGR valve. A 73-later engine will have it.
Next step is a compression check. You may have a sticking or burned exhaust valve. Listen at the tailpipe for a sneeze or spit sound.

Hook up a vacuum gauge. What do you see? Steady? What's the gauge say?
Look for a vacuum leak before you chase your tail.
Open the hood at night while its running to look for electrical arching from the ignition. New ignition parts mean nothing with chineasium junk.
