Going into the freshening up on my engine in a few weeks and beginning to gather my parts...does anyone have any good solid motor mount recommendations ? Ive checked Rock Auto/Jegs and all, and wanted to go with energy suspension; but one of their reps told me they don’t make motor mounts for the Oldsmobile 350. So I thought maybe one of my fellow Olds Owners would have a suggestion or two...thanks in advance !

Mondello sells solid mounts, they add about an inch to the height for more header clearance.

 

Yeah they ain't cheap. A lot of people take a rubber mount, drill a hole through them and put in a bolt and a stover nut.

 

Unless I am missing some important part, it looks like you could make your own (if you can weld) for under $20.00.

 

WTH? That would most likely put the fan into the top of the shroud. Correctly designed headers should fit without needing the engine to be raised an inch.

 

i was looking into that option, unfortunately i don't have a welder and cant weld yet. Even with my build, i’m doing it based off what i can find online, my manual, and the maybe two people around that can offer help. But i found some on rockauto, so for now i’ll be going that route. But thank you !
