two piece intake gasket vs. Valley pan intake gasket

I think my intake gaskets are leaking around my egr ports on my intake I've never had trouble with the valley gaskets before. But I also wanted to try the two piece gasket set at some point does any one have any pros or cons of the two piece intake gaskets?

Two piece gaskets can be either metal the same as the valley tray or composition material. I have used several varieties of the composition gaskets and all have worked well. I never used the Fel Pro metal two piece gaskets but they should be the same as the valley tray, just without the center tray.

The metal shims 2 piece work great. Although many guys frown upon it. I do a very and i mean very light coat of high temp rtv on the outside of the crush rings on them. Thats all i have ever succesfully used. The composite fiber ones for some reason leave my end rails a little too open and it leaks oil even with huge beads of rtv . The metal ones are thinner so it closes up the gap on the end rails. I know it could be user error on my end but thats just my experience.
