Which QJets fit on 68 Cutlass 350?
I am looking for a cheap carb to learn to rebuild to eventually replace the 4 barrel QJet in my 68 Cutlass Supreme w/ 350. I found a few that look similar but am not sure if it will work correctly. If it is advertised as a 455 carb will it still fit? I found a 68 Buick/chev lesabre QJet that looks identical. It has the same fuel inlet in the front and same linkages from what I can tell. Would this work fine? Also, about about the 70s models? Thanks

Which Qjet fits? Well all of them.
Seriously, different engines and different years will have different internal configurations and different jetting. The later you go, the more emissions features are on the carb. More importantly, note the choke mechanism in the photo. That's called a divorced choke, with the choke coil bolted to a pocket in the manifold. Most later Qjets have the integral coil with the round black choke coil mounted to the side of the carb. You can put an integral choke carb on a divorced manifold, but you'll need to run an aftermarket hot air tube to make it work. These are typically sold for header installations, so they are readily available. Alternately, you could convert to an electric choke.

Later carbs are better but usually leaner as said. Convert it to electric, just block off the little vacuum hole in the housing. A later 403 carb would work nicely on your motor, if stock.
