Q-Jet for '71 350 auto
This whole carb thing has me confused. I need a carb for my car, which I believe still has the original Olds 350 in it. Through my research, I believe the correct carb would be the 7041202. I can't find these anywhere. Going by the intake, I need a 4 barrel, spread bore carb. Will any Q-Jet for a GM 350 work? Are there specific other model numbers I should look for? If I do decide to swap brands, again, are their specific part numbers?
After I get this carb thing figured out, things should go a little smoother. My knowledge increases after that.
Thanks in advance.

There are lots of different carbs from this era that would work fine. I believe the correct number for your application should end with 250 rather than 202 though. The key difference I believe is the choke setup, the curved pipe that runs into the intake started in 1970 and was used into the late 1970's for sure, I don't know when they started putting electronics in the carb, but I would try to stay away from that just because I don't know the effect of running a carb without those electronics connected. Ebay has lots of Quadrajets listed on a regular basis. John

Are the bolt patterns for mounting these the same from Olds to Chev to Pontiac, etc?
I have two that I am bidding on on Ebay right now, I hopefully one of them will work for me.
