2-jet Carb jet question

I have been looking everywhere to try to find what size the jets were in my carb from the factory and just can't seem to find a reference. I just rebuilt my 2GV 7042156 carb and it had #55s in them. This carb was obviously rebuilt at some point before (incorrectly) and was curious if they changed jets.
Anyone know if that is what was in there originally?

Car is a 72 S Holiday Coupe w/ 350

Thanks
Tim

Looks like manual transmission jets are #54, automatic are #51.

Awesome thank you! Looks like that could explain some things, got it dialed in as best I could but still running a bit on the rich side. Just out of curiosity where did you find that information? I dug through service and assembly manual and some rochester carb manuals and just couldn't find it.

Thanks again
Tim

Magic of the interwebs.

The link in my post goes to a scanned page from the Canadian 1972 Olds Parts Manual.

The '72 F-85 series offered one 350 with a 2bbl carb., and that is the one referred to in the parts manual for a '72 F-85 350.

The part numbers listed for the jets are 7002651 and 7002654, which correspond to jets # 51 and #54.

You're welcome.

Sometimes "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing."
I know just enough to find what I need with both hands and a hound dog.
