Nutty Project

I keep getting confusing info about my 260 heads and I am not sure if auto part stores and the guy that cleaned the block and heads have any clue as to what they are looking at. They both have an u shape opening that I am being told is the exhuast cross over and I am being told I can block them, don't block them and that I need new heads. That is why it has gone NUTTY.
