Need a camshaft for a 67 330

I've got a '67 330 that's been bored .030 over, 4bbl, with #4 heads, stock exhaust manifolds with true dual straight pipes. It's hooked up to a th350 with what I assume is a normal stall on it (1800-2400, probably on the lower side), to an olds 10 bolt with 3.55 posi gears on 28" tires. It also has bigger B body disc power brakes up front.

It currently has a comp cam in it, which I've been lead to believe is at best a baby cam. I was wondering if yall could point me towards a better one. I'd like to get a bit more power out of the motor while maintaining driveability because it's mostly a street car with the occasional stop light race. If possible, I'd love a massive lope or something to make it sound really mean, but that's more of a wish than necessity. I MIGHT also be swapping out the stock Intake manifold for a high rise 4bbl one as well.

Any suggestions on where to go?

Low or high compression pistons? A stock TH350 converter stalls around 1600 rpm, consider an 2000+ stall upgrade if it is stock. Cutlassefi can probably recommend a cam but the compression ratio needs to be known.

Recommended Comp Cams 280H in your other post.

High compression I believe. I already messaged him, but figured I'd ask the forum.

You are looking for an aggressive sound compared to what you have, correct? Go up to the 220 duration range and one with a tight LSA, lower than your current 110.

I would also have at least a 2500 stall converter. Here is one, let the **** storm begin. https://www.lunatipower.com/street-m...8-275-275.html If you are actually around 10 to 1, no reason it shouldn't work.

Incase I'm not 10:1, it won't work? And why the **** storm? Is this cam gonna be more about sound vs performance?

It is a balancing act. You need enough compression, especially being under 350 ci along with enough stall and deep enough gearing to get the performance you want. Are those the Egge cast pistons in your motor? All cast pistons need a lot of decking to the block to even have pistons sit .025" in the hole like the stock ones, let alone 0 deck. Pistons .050" below deck lower compression a lot. Do a compression check to see what your current 212 duration cam creates.
