330 hp ??

I need some info on my engine 64 F85 330 w/2bbl rockchester carb. I believe stock it was 210 HP. now how do I know what the increase of HP is after the engine was rebuilt I mean estimate the crank and cylinders were bored .30 over the block # is 1 88917 and the heads are T087349 .what type of heads are they ??? the cam is also 650-759 cfm?? I was told it will handle upgrade to a 4bbl

What is the part # on your cam. It all depends on the pistons they install. If the compression is raised above stock with a performance cam and a good intake combined with a decent flowing exhaust, yes the horse power will go up.

That's due to the high grade confusnium in the original post!

I didn't even know that cams were rated in CFM!

I wonder what the carb's lobe steparation is at?

It is impossible to give you a reasonable estimate without better information. The compression ratio may be lower, the cam could be too big or two small, there are too many variables. Generally speaking, if the engine was bored and high compression pistons used, the Cr should be around 10 to 1. With the correct cam and a little head work, you should be around 325 HP. But again, a lot of variables.

Exactly, but if low compression pistons were used and the normal felpro head gaskets used, it could also go the other way.

If your question is "how much additional HP will result from the 0.030" increase in bore", the answer is "not enough to measure".

Going 0.030" over on a 330 increases displacement from 329.8 cu in to 334.9 cu in. Not enough to notice. Depending on how worn your engine was before, the rebuild SHOULD make more HP than the worn engine, but simply returning levels to original.
