mr gasket head gaskets

anyone ever use the mr gasket head gaskets. i have always used felpro but with my next short block im building it seems their head gaskets will work better than the felpro's as they are a bit thinner. It will be right at 10 to 1 compression. im just curious if anyone had any experiences with them.

The problem with mr gasket head gaskets is they are going to reduce your compression ratio. I would try and go with steel shim gaskets if your going for performance!

even with a .040 head gasket ill be at 9.9 to 1 compression. with the mr gasket ill be at 9.95 to 1 . My new combo is gonna be a 425 piston 350 combo. I just want to get as much compression as possible and since the mr gasket set has a bit thinner head gasket and is 10 dollars cheaper im wondering if it's worth it quality wise.

You'd be over 10 with the steel gasket! Get with these guys!

I use the Mr. Gasket Ultra Seals for virtually everything, no issues ever.

thanks for the site. I want to keep it around 10 to 1 just to stay pump gas friendly.
