Made a mess, found a coolant leak

Changed the oil today and I was in a rush so I poured the oil in too fast and, yeah, lost about a pint.

Cleaning up the mess (thank God for cardboard) and found 3 coolant drips on my steering linkage. Look up and it's running down from behind the fuel pump. Get up top and it apears to be coming from the intake area.

I'm thinking 2 things. Either one of the sensors in the water jacket/bridge part of the mani is leaking (easy fix, telfon tape) or it's coming from between the manifold and head. (PIA to fix)

If it is the mani, I'm not fixing it. I'll deal with it because I'll be swapping in the 330 in future. so how long will it last?

I had a coolant leak last year, it was showing up on the manifold, right below the intake bolts. The first thing I thought was intake gasket. Turned out to just be clamps on the upper hose. It had gotten cold, and when things shrunk, the clamps weren't tight enough anymore. Check that first.

I'm sure you know the answer to that better than we do because you can see how much leaking is going on. Did you check the oil again to see if it's getting milky or the exhaust is white? If it is, I'd say not long at all.

The 307's with aluminum intakes were notorious for springing coolant leaks.

While not the most pleasant thing to do w/all the crap in the way ...

It's not really that bad a of a job to throw a new valley pan gasket in there.
