So I've got a 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass with the 350 rocket engine. I just went through the process of rebuilding it, throwing a roller cam in and planning on installing a serpentine belt system. The problem I'm running into is now, with the new roller cam, the intake hits on the lifter retainers and won't fit. I've searched high and low for an alternative intake manifold that would clear it, but parts for this are not nearly as abundant as it's SBC 350 cousin. I thought that maybe I could flip them around to the backside but there isn't enough clearance by about an eighth inch. My question is does anyone know of any high rise intakes that would work, or am I going to be stuck grinding down this intake to make it functional? This is the image where the intake is directly hitting the intake There are the lifter retainers that are giving me issues You can see where we started to grind down and we're still not even close
