Intake Manifold Issue Olds 324

Hey Folks,
I bought a 1955 olds super 88 4 door parts car for the engine and trans. The engine, a 324, was missing the intake manifold / Carb which I recently purchased and although the person said it came from a 324 it seems to be bottoming out on the valley pan. Also theres a little hole on the part of the intake thats hitting the valley pan. Is there a spacer that I'm missing or is this the wrong intake. Casting number on the intake is 567184 with the number 2 below it. The firing order on it is 18736542. My engine casting number is 563922 with a number 5 above it. Other numbers/letters CFD 274. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jesse

I pulled the red intake from a 1954 324 engine. Then the green one I've been told is from a 303. Note the underside of each. Does yours look like one of these two? John

The manifold you bought is a 1956.
They changed the exhaust crossover in 1956 and it protrudes deeper down.
As a consequence, the block top cover was re-designed with a depression in it.
Your engine is either a 1954 or 55.
You will need to get either a 54 or 55 manifold or a 1956 top cover.
The 1959 cover is wider because the block deck height increased in 1957 with the 371.
