Instructions/Scematic of drilling 72 350 auto crank for manual trans...

Hello All,

We are currently building my 72 350 and will be replacing the stock 350 with a Tremec 5 speed. I have tried to find some specific instructions for doing this on the site but have only stumbled on one example.

Does anyone have a specific schematic for a 350 crank? Is the sizing the same for a 455? Any advice would be helpful so I can pass it along to my machine shop.

Thanks for any help you guys can offer. I have attached the link for the picture I found...sorry I couldn't seem to save it and post it.

The pilot bearing recess dimensions are the same for all 1964-1990 Olds cranks. That is the correct drawing.

Thanks Joe! I have heard of people using different brands of bushings...is there a favorite one out there or a certain part number to go after?

The OP already had that drawing in the link he cited. The question was, is an SBO crank pilot hole the same as for a BBO crank.

Hey guys! Thanks again for the info...any idea what the best bushing out there is to use? I've seen some conversions from Mondelo but Im guessing there is a better option...any part numbers would be great!
