I have a '72 350 mechanical fuel pump and I need to put in a new line to a '77 Qjet...can I use a stock line or do I have to go to a braided universal line? Is the stock line based on the fuel pump or the carb year?

 

As long as the intake is stock and there are no carb spacers, they are all pretty much the same.
