fuel pump

how can you find out if your fuel pump is not working...not getting any gas to carb but i have a full tank

equipment needed; 1" & 5/8" wrench, 1' of 7/16" rubber fuel hose, catch container. a 16 oz water bottle works good.

remove steel fuel line at carb and slip rubber hose over the flair, other end in the bottle. prop up the bottle or have someone hold it to catch the gas as the entine is cranked. this is for unaltered factory set up

no fuel = bad pump, clogged fuel line, or hole in fuel line allowing pump to suck air. the strainer in fuel tank could be clogged.

Had a similar issue with my SX. Car would cut out after a little driving. Worst case you are in my boat, fuel tank needs to be "resealed". Best case, change some fuel filters and or pump
