Distributer won't turn help!!

Tried to set the timing today, loosened up the hold down and the distributer seems to be seized. Tried with a pry bar slightly but no go.

I finally got it to move that bugger was tight!! Liquid wrench overnite and a baby pipe wrench did the trick. I have never had a distributer that was that stuborn. Anyone else have this problem? I didn't pull it but do you guys think its time for replacement?

Had an 85 Hurst with that problem. There is a rubber O ring on the shaft that gets stuck and also dirt and oil buildup there causes this. As long as its loose now you dont have an issue. It would just need a cleaning in that area and all would be fine.
