72 Cutlass 350 Thornton shorty headers install question

I'm going to swap out my OEM manifolds for newest Thornton shorties with engine in the car - passenger side looks to be essentially a simple drop in replacement easily accomplished from above. Running Vintage Air system so I don't have the factory evap unit in the way anymore.

Was an original 2bbl car so the right side manifold had the crossover port welded - I assume no difference in its geometry with regard to how it positions to the exhaust pipe.

My question is what will the left side require? I don't have a floor lift and I can't immediately tell whether enough room to swap manifolds from top of engine without removing at least the intermediate steering shaft and/or having to lift the motor off its mounts to provide extra maneuvering room -

I had a 2.25" dual exhaust installed at a local shop when first getting the car, I presume the geometry should allow these headers to bolt directly in place as Thornton states.

if anyone else has done this with motor in car, how did you accomplish the left side install?

Car sits on essentially stock front suspension

thanks

You need to install from underneath with the car on jack stands. You may have to disconnect the motor mount bolt and raise the engine.
