My '69 started life much like yours and had the same transmission and rear end swap. Also has an Edelbrock performer intake, Holley 600CFM carb and headers. Pretty lively but not in the same class as a 455. Headers can be a pain with the starter and other fitment issues and I hear factory style duals would be almost as good for a driver plus easier & cheaper. I would probably prefer a Q-jet carb to the Holley, might swap some day.

the turbo 350 and the 3.42 are an excellent choice. a lot will depend on how far you want to go, i am not averse to doing a cam change in the car but there are definately more enjoyable ways to spend a saturday... truth be told tho it will influence how far you will want to go with the intake and carburation. if you stay with the stock cam your best bet would be a stock non egr intake with a quadrajet or else an edelbrock performer with a good 600-750 carb. i've had good luck with all three of the major carbs, (holley, AFB/edelbrock, and Q-jet) the holley is the easiest to tune if you want to get your feet wet. but for power and economy i've had better luck with the AFB/edelbrock design and to me there is nothing like a well tuned Qjet but they are more complex and can be aggravating. if you've got a car buddy that is a good carb guy i'd follow his lead.
granny is my first car with a points ignition and i've only had her for a couple months now so i'm learning the nuances of that design so i'm hoping that some of the other guys will chime in with recommendations on optimizing a points style ignition ...

2bbl compression was 9:1 vs 10:1 on the 4bbl in 1969, per the owners manual. Still better than 8.5:1 on all 1971-72 cars. I'm happy with the 4bbl conversion on my car but a better engine guy than me would have to give the technical details. From a seat of the pants perspective - TH350, 3.42, 4bbl & duals make for a nice driving 350 and you already have the hard/expensive part done.
