#5 heads

Is $350 a good price on unmolested heads? Too much? A steal? Let me know, I need them and someone is selling. How much would rebuilding them cost? Thanks.

I would wait for a better deal such as finding a set already rebuilt. One can put a lot of $ in rebuilding a set of heads. Guides, seats, valves yada, yada, it's all about money. 6's and 7's are good also. Good luck, Ken

i don't think i would buy them for that much. i have a set still on an engine that ran when it was parked 6 years ago. they should be rebuilt if someone was to put them on another engine. a guy was going to buy this car off of me but if i don't hear from him in a couple days i would take $200 for them. i am in indiana. i don't think they have ever ben off the engine.

i have a set of #7 heads also that have 30,000 miles on them. i had them rebuilt several years ago. if they were going on a driver then you could just bolt them on. i don't think the 7s are worth as much as the 5s but i would want $200 for them because if they don't sell i will use them someday. i do not know the value of heads so i may be off with my pricing but it is what they are worth to me.

Yeah, let me know if you don't hear from him. That sounds good to me as long as you could ship them to me (i would pay shipping of course).

I just sold a set of #5's to a fellow member in Florida for 200 bucks. Shipping was outlandish from California to Florida at 145 bucks.
