455 in a 65 cut

455 in a 65 cut

ok was going to put a 350 and 350 in my 65 cutlass but have a great deal on a low mile 455. TCI th350 though havent bought the converter yet. is this an ok swap?

That would be awsome. Just make sure the TH 350 is in good shape and has a good transmission cooler. 455s are torque monsters!

That is an excellent swap.
F-85
on this board just did this for the Byron race in his 64'.
There was an old beat up Apollo jet boat on craigslist in Wisconsin for $700. So he hauled it back here to our town here in IL, and dropped the 455 from it into his F-85.
That friggin thing ran 13.5's all weekend lol. What a good score.
