324 Olds oil dipstick?

Is there a commonly available oil dipstick for another Olds or other make engine that fits the 324 Olds Rocket V8? My stock tube is loose in the block and too rusted for reuse.

Thanks!

Are you looking for a dipstick or the tube or both?.... Tedd

The dipstick is in servicable condition but missing the rubber seal at the top, so I guess both.

I don't remember there being a rubber seal at the top only a stamped steel cup. I'll look at my stash I may have one but don't hold your breath it may take a few days before I can get to where my stuff is and I don't remember if that engine has those parts it's been dissembled to some extent.....Tedd

I just assumed it had a seal at the top... That being the case, all I need is a good, usable tube. Thanks!

As Tedd said, there is no rubber seal on the dipstick (Oldsmobile called it "engine oil level indicator").
As far as the tube goes, the group number was 1.516 and the part number was 561062, but it will be difficult to find an NOS one. A nice usable used one will probably be the best hope.

If you think about it a 324 is vented all over the place, oil breather cap. down draft tube and dipstick. A rubber seal would defeat the purpose of the system getting the vapors out of the engine compartment...... Tedd

My spare dissembled engine doesn't have the dip stick or tube in it but the transmission tube though bent all to hell is there. It's doubtful I threw it away I never throw that kind of stuff away, Ill keep looking later.... Tedd
