Exclamation 324 Coolant Leak

I filled up our newly rebuilt 324 with coolant today. After a while, I discovered coolant dripping from the lower center exhaust manifold bolts.

Anyone else had this happen? What's the best fix?

The holes for those bolts run right through to the coolant passages... But I'm not sure the threads do. Make sure your bolt didn't bottom out. I noticed that happened on mine when I did some exhaust work and installed new bolts. Of course check torque... I'm not sure if any of the silicone sealants will hold up to the heat, but I think some of the anti-seize compounds will. Not sure if that will be good to seal the threads, but it might be worth a shot...

I put a light coating of high temp RTV on the bolts, put them back in and torqued them to 22 ft-lbs. I let it sit for a couple days, then refilled the coolant. Couple weeks have passed. No leaks! I hope that did the trick.
