Help! I'm looking for the #2 & #3 main bearing caps for a 215 aluminum V8 that I'm rebuilding. I'm waiting to hear back from D & D Fabrications to see if they have any in their used parts inventory but wanted to check on this forum to see if anybody has any they aren't going to use.

 

Remember you WILL have to align hone the mains. You can not change caps, without doing this. Each cap is match for the block. If you change caps you have to match the cap again.

My machinist was in the process of line boring when the cracks were discovered. It's tough to get anybody to separate out bearing caps for sale. Thanks for you reply. You have a great looking '64, I've had both a '64 F-85 and a '64 Cutlass and loved them both.
